macOS certificate expiration broke Logitech's mouse software

Logitech has released a patch for its Options+ and G Hub applications on macOS, after a certificate expiration caused problems for users of the company’s mice and other peripherals.
Owners of Logitech peripherals like the MX Master series rely on the company’s software to customize the configuration of their devices. However, an avoidable certificate issue led to its software becoming unusable on macOS.
A support page explains that an expired certificate was to blame for Logitech’s Options+ and G Hub apps suddenly being rendered inoperable on user’s Macs. The result was a flood of complaints on social media that various functions on mice and other items that relied on the apps stopped working properly.

Future iPhones may utilize multi-spectral cameras for Apple Intelligence

A new rumor says that Apple is exploring the use of multi-spectral camera technology, which could be a boon for iPhone photography but may also aid Visual Intelligence.
The Visual Intelligence feature in Apple Intelligence keeps improving, whether it’s describing what the camera is showing, or it’s working from screengrab images. Leaker Digital Chat Station claims that Apple is looking to eventually add multi-spectral camera systems, and one benefit of this would be for Visual Intelligence.
Multi-spectral imaging captures image data across different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum. All iPhone cameras to date have focused on the red, green, and blue (RGB) elements visible to the human eye.

Following reports of Apple looking to include a 200MP camera in the iPhone in 2028, a leaker unsurprisingly says there’s no prototype being tested yet.
The most recent of multiple reports about Apple adding a 200MP camera to the iPhone, claimed that it will first appear in a 2028 iPhone. Now regular leaker Digital Chat Station has said on Weibo that Apple is not even at the prototype stage yet.
That seems unsurprising given how far off a September 2028 launch is. It’s also not startling that the leaker further says Apple’s engineers are instead focused on developing the 48MP camera expected in the 2026 iPhone range.

One of Apple’s iPhone Air designers, Abidur Chowdhury, left to become the head of design at a new AI startup called Hawk.
Chowdhury left Apple in November 2025 and it was reported then that he was moving to an AI startup. Now Bloomberg has reported that the firm is Hawk, founded by Brett Adcock, who is known for the robotics company, Figure AI.
Adcock reportedly self-funded Hawk with $100 million of his own money, and says that it is intended to grow alongside Figure AI. Where the robotics firm is developing a general-purpose humanoid robot, Hawk is said to be working on AI models.

You’ve long been able to customize folders in the Mac’s Finder, but only with a lot of non-obvious fiddling. Now with macOS Tahoe, Apple has made it a lot simpler.
Maybe you have been using the Mac long enough to remember when third-party firms sold utilities that changed your folders into 3D. Or perhaps you’ve never given a folder a passing through beyond wondering where you saved it.
Whichever folder customizing camp you’re in, do take a moment to see what Apple has added — and how it can benefit you.
Mcon mobile gaming controller review: Compact design with premium feel

The new Mcon controller balances portability and performance in a compact, MagSafe-compatible design for iPhone gamers.
Gaming controllers usually come in two flavors. You’ll find ones that are extremely comfortable and capable, as well as those that are small and portable.
Finding a controller that is both portable and capable is a rarity, to say the least. The OhSnap Mcon is the first one I’ve tested that makes good choices on compromises and uses MagSafe for easy connection to iPhone.
