TikTok launches TikTok Radio and Podcasts with iHeartMedia
With most TikTok FYPs already brimming with podcast clips, it’s clear the social media company is now trying to break into the genre.
On Friday, the company is launching the TikTok Podcast Network and a new platform called TikTok Radio. Both projects are working with iHeartMedia to help fill out the audio-first content. The idea behind TikTok Radio is, basically, an FYP for, well, radio and podcasts.
Wrote TikTok in a press release:
“TikTok Radio captures the speed and cultural momentum of the For You feed in real time, blending trending music with commentary from TikTok creators and established iHeartRadio personalities. The station will broadcast live for the first time on March 13 from SXSW, and will be available on the free iHeartRadio app and across 28 broadcast stations nationwide, including New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Miami, and more.”
The TikTok Podcast Network, meanwhile, also launches on Friday with a lineup of creators enlisted to start pods. Among those creators were Lele Pons, Carter Gregory, and Caroline Vazzana. The idea is to give fans deeper insight into their favorite creators.

A new, AI-powered version of Bumble is coming
Bumble will soon test an AI dating experience called, simply, Dates.
Dates will be powered by Bee, a standalone product feature designed as a personal dating assistant and matchmaker, Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder and CEO, said during its Q4 2025 earnings call.
As Bumble told Mashable, users will start using Dates with an onboarding conversation to discuss values, relationship goals, communication style, lifestyle, and dating intentions. These conversations, which will be with “Bee,” will apparently be private and not shared on your profile. Users will also be able to control what elements of the conversation Bee uses to search for matches.
Then, Bee will identify a highly-compatible profile and notify both users with a description of why they’re a match. If the interest is mutual, the connection moves to a conversation.
“To fully recover and return to growth, we must focus on product and technology innovation, which is where our efforts are now,” Wolfe Herd said during Bumble‘s earnings call. Bumble’s total revenue and paying users had decreased year over year (14 percent and 21 percent, respectively) compared to Q4 2024.
Wolfe Herd said that since the start of this year, she’s been spending 90 percent of her days with the tech and product teams “reimagining what finding love looks like in the era of AI.”
“We are rearchitecting the entire Bumble experience from start to finish,” she said. Bumble can’t use its legacy tech stack (the set of technologies that together build an app), so it’s building a new, cloud-native tech stack with a targeted launch in Q2. Wolfe Herd said it’s not just a backend upgrade, but a fully new platform coming.
Wolfe Herd also acknowledged the burnout and disillusionment with dating apps as of late. “Daters across the industry are dissatisfied with being reduced to images and potentially dismissed with a swipe,” she said. “Bumble 2.0 introduces a chapter-based structure designed to help members tell their stories more authentically and understand one another more deeply.”

The beta of Dates is launching soon, and future iterations are expected to incorporate date suggestions and anonymous feedback. Bumble already launched some AI features, Profile Guidance and Photo Feedback, last month.
Back in 2024, Wolfe Herd discussed an AI-powered dating concierge that would basically date for you, so it’s unsurprising that the app is taking this direction.
Other major dating apps, particularly Tinder and Hinge, have also added AI features in the last few years. Tinder is also reportedly testing an AI matchmaker, while Hinge’s latest AI feature helps start better conversations. Hinge‘s founder, Justin McLeod, left the app last year to launch an AI dating service called Overtone.

Popular YouTuber JerryRigEverything tore down the new Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, performing one of the most fun and anticipated tests of the new, premium phone.
JerryRigEverything took an extended look at the guts of the new phone and found that Samsung neglected to make a big deal of an upgraded camera system. Still, as most tech products go these days, the Galaxy S26 Ultra seems to be an incremental upgrade over previous models.
JerryRigEverything called it a “decent upgrade over last year, but I still wouldn’t rush out to buy a new one if you have a phone that was made in the last two or three years.”
In his review of the phone, Mashable Tech Editor Timothy Beck Werth wrote that the S26 Ultra was a very good smartphone, mostly aimed at power users.
He wrote: “Still, for dedicated Android users — or anyone who loves big phones and hates Liquid Glass — the S26 Ultra is worth the investment. If you’re a professional creator, an AI superuser, or a developer who can make the most of the snappy Qualcomm processor, then I think you’ll be very happy.”

Apple reveals celebration plans for its 50th birthday
Apple turns 50 on Apr. 1, 2026, and the celebration start with a letter.
The company’s CEO Tim Cook published a letter on Thursday titled “50 years of thinking different” on Apple’s website. “Fifty years ago in a small garage, a big idea was born. Apple was founded on the simple notion that technology should be personal, and that belief — radical at the time — changed everything,” he wrote.
Cook’s celebratory letter focuses on Apple’s roots as a company that aims to “think different,” and one that focuses on improving people’s lives. Though it doesn’t mention co-founder Steve Jobs by name, it ends with one of his quotes: “the people crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.”
In a separate post on Apple’s website, the company revealed a little bit on how it plans to celebrate this occasion (the celebration was first hinted at by Cook himself when he addressed employees at an internal Apple meeting).
“In the coming weeks, Apple and its global community will celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, recognizing the creativity, innovation, and impact that people around the world have made possible with Apple technology.”
While that doesn’t tell us much (except, perhaps, that the celebration will stretch over a period of time), it is in the company’s spirit to never spill the beans on anything that’s coming, even if it’s just a birthday party.
“While Apple is known for looking forward, this milestone offers a special moment to reflect on the journey that has brought the company here, to celebrate the people and communities who have thought different with us, and to honor the enduring values that continue to guide our work,” the post said.

According to NASA, the Moon takes roughly 29.5 days to orbit Earth, passing through eight distinct phases along the way. Although we always see the same side of the Moon, the amount illuminated by the Sun shifts as it moves, which is why it can appear full, half-lit, or just a thin sliver at different times in the cycle. These shifting appearances are known as the lunar phases, and there are eight altogether:
New Moon – The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it’s invisible to the eye).
Waxing Crescent – A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).
First Quarter – Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.
Waxing Gibbous – More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.
Full Moon – The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.

“They spent $15 million on steak in one month? Who are you? Sterling, Cooper, Draper, and Price? If you’re gonna eat that much steak, you better have come up with a new campaign for Lucky Strike,” said Meyers. “No wonder Hegseth always looks miserable; he’s 24/7 meat-constipated. Im an admin assistant for adult creators — heres what my day is like
Sex sells, but you might not know just how much.
There are people who make their living having sex or looking sexy, but there are plenty of others who make money in their orbit.
“I thought my only option was to teach sex ed at primary and secondary schools through charities,” said Amari, a sex positive virtual assistant and social media manager. “And now all of a sudden I have these two businesses where I’m working in the sex space in a completely different capacity than what I thought.”
Since 2023, Amari has run Admin by Amari, an agency offering services from administrative work to social media to copywriting and SEO, all for different workers in the sex space. She also runs Sex Coaching by Amari, but the former business is her bread and butter.
“Sexual health nurses, gynecologists, obstetricians, all the way to sex workers,” she described clients. That’s not all: “OnlyFans models, sex toy companies, sex dungeons, play parties…reproductive justice charities, abortion charities. The list…it’s crazy.”
Mashable interviewed Amari about how she went from university student to right-hand person for the sex-positive among us.
“It just accidentally became my full-time job”
When studying sociology in university, “every topic that I was allowed to pick was about sex in some shape or form,” Amari said. The topics included gender, sexuality, sex work, porn, feminism, and gendered violence.
She volunteered for different charities, like a sex workers’ rights charity and one about sexual domestic violence. She’d do various administrative tasks, social media work, and help with events. Eventually, she got a job at a nursery and thought that when she’d graduated, she’d go either down the charity or women’s rights group route or the childcare route.
Then COVID hit. But she graduated with a full-time job, as nurseries stayed open in the UK. Amari loved working with kids, so she decided to enroll into teacher training.
Unfortunately, though, it was a grueling experience. Between 80-hour work weeks and not getting paid due to the nature of the program, “I got incredibly stressed out, mentally, physically,” she told Mashable. “It attacked my joints. I was on crutches at the age of, like, 23.”
“I was actually physically unable to work with children,” she said. “My body just completely shut down.”
She also didn’t have a good experience with her mentor. All of this prompted her to ask herself what she’s going to do with her life.
Given her charity volunteering while at university, she sent her CV to charities and secured an administrative and social media role at a forest school nursery. While the pay was low, the job was remote, and Amari decided, “This is the life I want to live.”
It was around this time that she also received her sex education qualification, but realized she wasn’t able to be in a school environment due to her physical condition.
Months later, a reproductive justice organization reached out to her, offering admin work for 10 hours per month. Amari figured she could do admin and use the bit of extra pocket money, so she registered as self-employed.
“That’s how I set up the agency,” she said.
She reached out to other charities to offer freelancer work, and it slowly became her full-time gig.
“It just accidentally became my full-time job,” she said. “And all of a sudden I was like, ‘Oh my gosh’…I had a sex educator reach out to me, a sex worker reach out to me. I had a sex work company reach out to me,” she said, after they found her through Instagram.
“I didn’t even know all of these people needed this sort of support,” she said. But now, she works with six clients and has a team of over a dozen people handling administrative and social media work.
The day-to-day of a sex work admin assistant
Amari’s day-to-day is “chill” these days, she said. Sometimes she’ll have discovery calls with potential clients, negotiate brand deals, do interviews or podcasts, or write articles, but she said that’s more of a “side thing.”
“I wake up whenever I want,” she said. “I get to go to the gym whenever I like. I get to do Pilates whenever I want to…It’s mainly me in bed tapping away at my computer to be honest.”
That doesn’t mean she always puts her feet up. As someone who posts about sex on social media, she knows all about platforms’ draconian rules. On her website, Amari has a guide on censorship and shadowbanning, which is when someone’s account is deprioritized by a social media app. Sex workers, erotic artists, and LGBTQ content creators have told Mashable that they’ve seen their Instagram accounts shadowbanned or simply banned.
“The first time I got shadowbanned, I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m gonna lose my job. My whole business is gonna go to shit. I need to get a new job.’ I was so stressed out and so overwhelmed,” Amari said. But she did a lot of research and spoke with clients who’ve experienced shadowbanning, so she’s gathered that knowledge over the years.
“We understand shadow banning, we understand censorship,” she said. “But I cannot make you a promise that something won’t happen to your account.” She does have best practices, though: diversify your platforms (have two to three social media accounts), and go outside of social media too with an email marketing list and website.
Depending on the client, she also censors specific words as well (a content moderation phenomenon we’ve seen on social media the last few years — “seggs,” anyone?), but some clients specifically don’t want her to.
But it’s just one thing she’s learned being in the sex space, which she said is “such a fun industry.”
“I learned so much in that first six months,” she said. “Proper whirlwind.”
Now that she’s cemented in it, it feels like she has a proper community despite being remote — not that she doesn’t love working from home.
“If there’s one thing I want people to take away from this, it’s get a remote job,” she joked.
